what to do with coyotes

just wondering what coyotes can be used for obviously their fur if they dont have mange but the reason i ask is cause i would like to start hunting them but i hate to kill something and just leave it, they are really over populated where i live and they kill just about anything. actually had 3 of them attack one of my turkey decoys while turkey hunting didnt shoot them cause i didnt want my hunt to end but i didnt realise they would ruin it anyway when they ran off in the woods and started howling btw the decoy was only 10yrds away from me, i regret not shooting. anyway just curious to know what everyone does with em

You might be out of luck as some of the Biologist say that nothing short of an atomic blast would get rid of them :cry:  :grin:  :cry:  :grin:
With this in mind...seems that the leveler headed IMO say that you should try to control them. If you attempt to eradicate, or kill a bunch of them, you will get a bunch back as per the litter cycles and such.

I personally will take a coyote when the fur is prime and make sure to get it skinned out right away. If there is trouble with livestock, or even cases of the yotes hurrahing the isolated farm houses I will take them anytime.

CJ, it's up to you what you do with them. Down here in the southwest they ain't worth much. Up where you are at that my be a different story. Of course you can always eat them if you feel bad about it :wink:  :roll:

Yea, they they taste like chicken...he he he....I had the same feelings when I started calling coyotes.used to skin them,sell the hides,scalped them and turned the scalp in for a bounty.now there is no bounty at least close by.and the hides are not worth diddly around here.But I have 300 plus scalps in the freezer.waitin for the bounty to come back..
so I just scalp em now and leave the carcus for fertilizer.
