Not for me..my wife and I are going on 50 yrs marriage..
It is for my son, whose wife divorced him about 16 years ago.
Recently she has come up with a demand that is quite unreasonable and seems to violate the original agreement in a major way.
My son has been a member of a legal assistance group for quite some time...he pays XX dollars each month, then if he needs legal help, one of their lawyers are supposed to be there to help him..
With this case, he decided to call upon the group he has been paying.
Here basically, is what he found out:
A) Upon contacting the main office, he was told that no attorneys in the immediate area were available to take his case on.
B) To find an available attorney, he had to travel to a city 60 miles away.
C) After travelling the 60 miles, that attorney then immediately began to cast his case in a very negative light...saying there was no chance of success or even help.
D) From what he told me about the meeting, this old man got the distinct feeling that my son's lawyer simply blew him off..and was not interested in helping him.
Am I wrong ?
Have any of you folks had any dealings with these " pre-pay by the month " legal services ?
Should he go to another lawyer ?
Please; need answers...Ironglow
