Special Forces Model H&R
« on: February 22, 2006, 11:55:32 PM »
Hi, I have an old but in excellent condition H&R 12 gauge Special Forces Model shotgun. I am wondering whether the existing replacement barrel fits the receiver. If it does will it accept a .223 or .308 barrel. Any replacement parts eg springs for the hammer sold? Thanks. Eddie.

Eddie

First off , nice gun .

Now for the bad news go to the FAQ in the H&R center fire rifle forum and you will see that a rifle barrel will not be fitted to a shotgun frame by H&R also it is not a safe thing to do yourself .

You will find some info there as far as replacement parts like springs , hammers , ect.

Depending on the age of the gun some or none of this info may be helpful .

You have to post a pic. I've never seen or even heard of one for that matter.
