This one was made for an elk hunter in Oregon who who said he wanted a large knife for quartering up his elk when it was on the ground!
He needed a rather large blade.
Fully forged 5160 simple carbon steel.
I need to add that I forge my blades down from large stock. Done correctly, with all proper forging tachniques adhered to, this results in a dang tough blade!
Solid elk antler handle.
Nickel silver and steel fittings.
Complete take-down configuration.

That's a good sized, good looking knife. Unusual to see take down knives these days. There was a time when many of the European style huntiing knives and some American ones would take down, but it's rare to see anymore. Nice, precise work.
