I think that Joe called this just right. I will often have several on me in case of reed freeze down or such.
For High pitch I use...
Mallardtone close range
Olt
Quakerboy
Knight & Hale

For the raspy reeds I use
Lohman three in one
Faulk
Burnham bros

I have had a turkey diaphram such as the dbl Kee Kee work well and also a Mr Squirrel call.

gaaads.I have a couple home made calls that would go..then several by randy anderson.and my squeaker (rodent)...my favorite since I mostly go alone is my J.steward with remote control..I can place it up to many yards away.and hide well.
my huntin rifle is safe from confiscation only while my battle rifle protects it.

CKnight98
Great to see you pop in. I have a new in box Primos hotdog that I recieved for CHRISTmas. Have listened to the Inst CD...Sure sounds like a versitile call.
Have not taken it out yet as I hate to get away from my Bill Austin Howlers but will use the Primos soon as a new sound in the same area is always a good idea. :D

glanceblamm,

my cknight98 account had some severe problems and died last night, but GB got me fixed up with a new account.  this is the same ole me, just a new name...

i really love my Hot Dog, it can go from howling to distess calls and is very versatile.  one thing i might mention is that i wouldnt start with the Hot Dog on a calling set, as it is a very loud call.  i normally start soft on my Lil Dog and then if i get no movement or action i'll step up to the Hot Dog.  i think once you use yours you will love it...i'm a big fan of Primos calls...you gotta "Speak the Langauge"

I will study that language. Already had a good part of it down as well as the operating technique thanks to the late Bill Austin.
If you are endorsing the Primos I know it will be good.
Thanks  :D

Joe,

it wasnt my computer, something with my username here at this site.  it was the second time "cknight98" died in about 7 months total, so i told Graybeard i'd try a new username with a new email address on file and see if the problem goes away or follows me.  thus far, i've had no problems at all...
