Help a newbie with a barrell question.
« on: February 25, 2006, 08:37:11 AM »
This has probably been asked a bunch of times in the past. To be honest, I'm just too lazy to search back to where someone else asked it last. I just got a slightly used .270 Handirifle. With it I got an order form where I can order more barrels for it from the factory...but I have to send the frame and forearm back to get it fitted. On here I'm seeing all kinds of barrels for sale from individuals. Do these barrels have to be individually fitted to each frame, or not? I'd like to get a .223 and 45-70 barrels for my Handi, too.

You or your gunsmith would have to fit any barrels you buy privately.  Sometimes you get lucky and not have to do a thing, most of the time there is minor fitting needed.
