My 260 rem. likes a couple fouling rounds also if I do to good of a job cleaning it. Most times now I will just run a  dry rag through the bore to nock out the lose stuff.
be safe and god bless

I've noticed that too RS.  My 6.5 x 55 puts the first shot 2"-3" high and to the left.  The next shot is about 1.5" high and left.   Then the group will be consistent.  The barrel has  the twist to the left.  I just don't clean it if I'm going hunting in the next few days.  I haven't figured out what my 209 x 50 is doing so I just clean it after every couple of shots.  It really scatters them with a dirty barrel.   I hunt with a clean barrel on my muzzleloaders as I rarely shoot it more than once anyway.

My 22-250 will start out clean about 4" from zero. Two more shots and it's where its suposed to be. It will stay there till I clean it.  KN
