Taurus Millenium Pro 745B Review
« on: February 26, 2006, 10:05:03 AM »
I thought I would post a review of a new pistol I got the other day at a local gunshop.

Taurus's new Millenium Pro 745B pistol in 45ACP. This is a 7 round capacity (6 mag +1 chamber). Comes with the usual 2nd magazine and box, key etc. Took it home, field stripped it according to manual and cleaned it and put a few dabs of ultra slick oil on the rails etc. (http://www.taurususa.com/products/product-details.cfm?model=745B&category=Pistol)

At the range I fed it a diet of Ball 45 Ammo and 185 JHP ammo and in 100 + rounds it never burped, never missed a beat and worked flawlessly. Accuracy for a 3.25 in barrel gun was very good and I found the grips to be extremely ergonomically correct for my hands. After shooting it the 100+ rounds I can say the apparant recoil is not much more than that of a 40S&W which I attribute to the ergonomics of the gun.

This little small concealable 45 will become my standard CCW gun. The gun is great size and very user friendly. No complaints at all on this little spitfire.

Best part... the dealer is selling them for $275.00.  Beat that with your Glocks and so forth.
