S&W model 39
« on: February 26, 2006, 10:08:10 AM »
I noticed I had the model wrong, so let's try this again! My friend inherited a 9mm model 39 from his father. It has seen very little use, almost like new
When cocked, the trigger has a long, long pull before any resistance is felt, then a very short and light pull for the release. It almost feels like a two stage military rifle trigger.

Does anyone know if this is the nature of the beast, or is possibly the result of having a trigger job done?

I have a model 39 the trigger is the same as you described. Must be it's nature.
