22. conversion kit for Berettas?

im thinking about buying a stainless beretta 96 in 40s&w.  what do you guys think of this gun?  are there any other companies that make a better 40?  also i noticed beretta makes a 22 conversion kit at first i thought this was a great idea but now im not so sure.  has anyone used or heard anything about these kits?

Try this site - they make a lot of conversions.  I saw a review of conversions some years ago - American Rifleman??? that suggested this outfit does good work.

well is this true or not but i have no idea, but i heard that on a 40s&w gun,all you need to turn it into a .357sig is a new barrel, if this is so, and there are .22lr conversion kits, than i feel that 40s&w is an incredibly versitale handgun, you have moderate stopping power, cost effectiveness in the 40s&w, incredible power in the 357sig, and incredibly cheap shooting out of a 22lr for days for spending nearly nothing.

i just bought a glock 17, my next pistol is going to be a 40s&w i think
