Question for FFL holders or Law Types.
« on: March 22, 2003, 04:51:47 PM »
I just moved to Wyoming from Virginia. I am in the market for a new handgun. My local dealer says I have to be a resident for 90 days by federal law before I can buy a handgun. I used to have my FFL and never heard off such a law. I checked the ATF site and didn't find any such mention of 90 day residency. Is this something I've missed or is my dealer mistaken? I really don't want to wait another 60 days to buy a handgun but I sure don't want to break a law. Anybody out there know for sure one way or the other?
If I was a horse, they'd have shot me!

must be city or state law. Here you have to show residency with is drivers licence or state ID.
