« on: March 01, 2006, 11:23:40 AM »
in the last year  i have made lots of changes  in the way i hunt hogs.  ive seriously hunted  for a over a year without picking up a gun.  i have had great success this year with archery equipment  ive killed 21 hogs this year with archery equipment.  for one thing  my matthews is so quiet  when you release  alls you hear  is a thud when hunting a target plus at normal hog hunting ranges over feeders  ive chosen to do alot of night hunting this year  20 yards or less  i have on several occasions stuck a pig   and the group come back to a feeding frenzie  and had oppurtunities to shoot again  here is one reason why

howie, good shooting, I have done that a number of times myself with my browning bow, at 20 yards mostly, a few times at 30. Thought I was getting good till a friend of a friend showed me how to do it many times at a measured 50 yards. Actually a few tricks he showed me about bow set up really helped. But I would still rather use a handgun or rifle, thanks for all the pics, someday I am going to go hog hunting for sure. Just not too many in this neck of the woods.
Though I might be moveing around New Orleans soon, then I will have to find something to hunt down there.
