Spend some time at his site, the tests are quite interesting. He does tests on all kinds of different rounds.

That site is a hoot!

I ran acrossed it months ago looking for some other article. He uses that Sharps in a number of tests, always some funny remark to the 45-70's penetration as compared to other cartridges.

:grin: I read years ago in a gun mag of an informal penetration test using the most popular rifles and a few older ones. I believe, but I'm not sure, that it was some sort of wood baffle. They used 30-06, 300 mag, and others plus the older ones. Only two rifles put bullets all the way through. One was the old 30-40 Krag and, you guessed it, the 45-70. Hunman55

That site is great!! I like one about them seeing if a loaf of bread will stop a bullet.......kinda like myth busters :-D Thanks for sharing.
