Does anybody have any loading data for 204 Ruger & AA2460 powder with 32 or 40 grain V-Max bullets. If so could you please email me at ks9wi@tds.net ?

Hello Kieth, I am loading 204 with AA 2230, mainly because I have a gallon of it sitting under my desk. about 25 grns under 32 gr Hornys.
A moderate load in my XR 100. Shoots better than I can hold it. George

Is it 2230 or 2230-C? There is a differance. I bought 48 lbs of thr 2230-C because it was so cheap, but it uses the data for 2460 for loading. I`ve been haveing real good luck with so far in my .204. Have not spent time working up a final load as I do that in hot weather, but do have it shooting 1/2 moa or less with 32 gn. Serrias and just over 1/2 moa with 32 Hornadys. DO NOT USE the 32 gn Serrias on coyote though as they are to thin skinned. The Serria jacket is .009 thick and the Hornady Jackets are .014 thick. I found out the hard way Serrai`s are to thin skined.

catfish, I think you better double check that. I been useing 2230C for a
while now and I was told by accurate powder that I was to use the data
for the regular 2230 I called them when I purchased the powder to make
sure. it is just a little bit slower then 2230 but i do not see any real difference when I ran the two powders loaded the same through my
chrony.

I bought mine when it first hit the market and they were saying at that time to use 2460 data. I work-up all of my loads in hot weather so I haven`t done any more that to work-up max. recomanded load for the 2460. I`ll e-mial AA again and see if they have changed their recomandition on loading data. I haven`t ran any through the cronograph yet as I haven`t started working on a final load, and with the accuracy I`m getting now I don`t fell bad hunting with it.
