12 Pound Confederate Mortar
« on: March 05, 2006, 01:53:59 PM »
Here is  a picture of one of my new products. It is a half scale confederate mortar. It is machined out of a piece of 4” X 7” 4340 shaft. The trunnion is 1.250" in diameter by 6" long. It is welded onto the barrel. The final version will be painted black. This barrel will be offered with a carriage or without. If purchased without the carriage, plans for the carriage will be included. If any are interested please PM me. Photos of the carriage to follow. Almost forgot, This gun shoots golfballs.

How much powder to toss a ball into the next county?

Depends how far away the county line is.  (-:

Powderkeg, When you get around to sending me that barrel, you will need to leave the tracking info here or phone me. I was using earthlink and it got corrupted and then removed from my computer so I don't have any email addresses that work. I will be getting a cable connection in a couple of days tho.

I received the mortar friday. This the second and third items made by powderkeg for me. The third piece is actually an adapter to fit one of my mac10's to a german mg42 tripod. Everything he has made for me is superb. I recommend him for whatever you want built. I'm thinking maybe a swivel cannon for golfballs next.

Hey Robert,

Glad you like it. My Email is wesleyp9@cableone.net  I have a picture of a swivel gun that someone mounted one to a field carriage. I thought it looked pretty cool. It still had the swivel mount. I guess that would make it a portable swivel gun. A good Idea if you have a swivel gun and no boat to put it on.
