I've got a new OTT 1" diameter bull barrel.  Is there a synthetic forend that will fit this size barrel ?

No your best bet is to buy i wood forearm and open it up to fit your barrel.
I bought a bull barrel forearm from foxridge and it was a piece of crap.

I used a 12 gauge forearm for my bull barrelled 454 Casull carbine.  I did have to drill another screw hole to fit the spacing of the Virgin Valley screw holes.

Chrome, I had the same problem when I converted over to a contender rifle.  I bought the carbine forend (synthetic) and I used a dremmel tool and opened it up.  Worked like a charm.
