I read that Winchester is going to switch from the HS 410 and 28 ga hull back to the old style because of the problems with reloading the HS hulls.Does anyone know when the change will happen.

Close but no cigar. Win. is going to increase the lenght back to what the originals were. But they are not going back to the compression formed hulls. They are making them longer to pacify complaining reloaders who were having trouble fitting their loads into the shorter hulls. Win. didn't need the extra room because they use a powder not available to reloaders.

IMHO Win. shot themselves in the foot with the change. I am making the change to Rem STS's as I run out of my old style AA's. This is a perfect example of what can happen when you let the bean counters take over the running of a company

From what I have heard, the .410 and 28ga  AA hull is still one of the best for those gauges. Longer life then the Rem hulls.

The 12 GA is another story. Rem hulls rule in that gauge.
