What happened to the NEF classifieds????
« on: March 07, 2006, 11:40:38 AM »
The "new" classifieds that we are referred to in the NEF classified don't suit me at all.Is anyone else dis-satisfied with them?
Can we get the old section back?

I hear that!!  They are definitly gonna take some getting used to.  I try to check em at least once a day, but I think it will be quicker, once I get used to them.

I'm sure that Greybeard had a good reason for changing them to what they now have.It just seems like everything is too compartmented there.

I didn't do it at all. Matt did. You'll have to take it up with him and address your complaints to him.

I personally like the layout of it. It is easy to find what you are looking for, and more detailed. Yes takes a little getting used to, but I believe it's more simplified and streamlined.
Though I do admit, I liked the old look of browsing through ads too.
It's all good

The old Classified is only good for what's there, no new ads can be added, all classifieds are now on a different site at the link at the top of the page...

I'm not trying to be contentious or argumentative but if most people don't like or don't feel comfortable with the new ones, which seems to be the case, why not just have Matt change back?

There's more to this than what we like or dislike, to quote Matt....

If we find this system does not work we will be switching back to them. I just feel because so much deleting and editing goes on in those 4 forums, by doing this we will be cutting down on DataBase overhead, and it is worth a shot as it seems to be a nice CA system.

Thanks
Matt

And since no one here pays a penny for the use of this service, we should be glad we have access to this media, whether we like it or not. If it makes the entire forum work better, I'm all for it!!
