I have a 12 ga with the factory turkey choke. I'm getting ready to buy a new choke. Which ones are your favorites?

Several folks have suggested Kick's Gobblin Thunder.

I use the Kick's GT .690.  I like it an awful lot.  I did not experiment with any other tubes, but once I shot it I don't think I need to.  My local gunsmith/dealer is very well known around here for his hunting talk shows and general knowledge about the sport.  He was bragging about his shot patterns on a weekly call-in show, so I had to drive over there to see what he was so excited about.  His patterns were very good, but had nothing over mine at 40-50 yards.  I've been pleased.

Good Luck.

Thanks, I've been hearing good things about Kick's GT from others.

What part of Kentucky are you from?

Hello hardcarse,

I actually live in Louisville, but spend my weekends and every chance I get at my farm in Hart County or Ohion County.  Good hunting and a little peace and quiet.

What about you?

I live in Trimble County just off I-71 at the Campbellsburg exit. I've got a friend from Hart County that hunts there, he was born there nice area. Maybe we can meet up sometime.

There is going to be a chance for me to try a lot of different chokes for $1.00 a shot next week. I'll make my decision then.

Thanks for the help.
