PC requires "zero tolerance" when it comes to guns, knives, pictures of guns, tee shirts with NRA logos, toy guns, etc being banned from public schools.
Kids can't carry a pocket knife, have a butter knife in their lunch box or whatever.
On the other hand, diversity is king!
What to do when a Sikh high schooler who by his religion is required to carry a symbolic dagger does so in school?
Suspend him, of course.
He sues...denial of practicing his religion.
He wins in court.
He may wear his dagger as long as it is CONCEALED!
A concealed weapon, in school, is OK now, if one is diverse enough, I guess.
