sheep talk, map recon, caping help
« on: March 09, 2006, 08:50:21 PM »
Hey guys,
I will be in FairBanks on R&R in the beginning of April. I have 14 days. I have drawn a TMA sheep tag and would like to talk to some experienced sheep hunters.
I have a couple maps over here and have been doing a lot of research. I would like to go over the maps with someone who nows the terrain or who knows about what to look for on a map. I have general questions about the plans I have a would like some help.
Basically I want the opinions of you that know what to look for. Those that can tell from a map whether or not the terrain is accesable on foot. I have pretty good experience but have never hunted the beautiful dall sheep.
I would also like to talk about caping and caring for the cape one the sheep is dead. Maybe go over my packing list and whatnot.
Thanks to anyone who can help.
