cannon fuse - cheaper
« on: March 10, 2006, 01:04:20 PM »
I got the following email today.. it appears that www.Pyrocreations.com  is having a 10% off sale on Sunday (March 12). They carry chinese made fuse in several size. They ship USPS, so none of that hazmat stuff. The email says to use the promotional code "SPECIAL" to get the 10%. I have bought the 1/8 " fuse before... it is your basic green fuse... not sure what else to say about it. They have other sizes, including 1/16 " for the mini-mortars that people seem to be making.

e-mail follows:

I would have been interested if I didn't already have 750 feet of fuze.
I may not be completely sane, but at least I don't think I have the power to influence the weather.

But more would allow you to get further away from that ONE BIG shot!

Besides, the longer the wait, the greater the expectations!

I don't want to be too far away. I want to be at a safe distance yet close enough to feel the concussion (if that is the proper word for it) from each shot. That's one of the reasons I so like fireworks.

Hello!   :D  Thanks to Rays89's persuasion, we have been making various mini mortars....would never have guessed how much fun they could be!  You can check out one of these mini-mortars in action on page 2 or 3 of the Backyard Cannon Fun thread.  You can also check out some of the minis we are currently making, as well as some of our larger cannon at: www.brooks-usa.com

Rickk -- Thanks for the info on the sale... I like to have a lot of that fuse on hand!  The minis are great fun and a fine way of introducing the next generation of cannon enthusiasts!

Regards,

Michael

Hi Michael,

While I was ordering about 40 miles of 1/8 inch fuze, I ordered some of their 1/16 inch fuse too. Then, just to have something to use the 1/16 inch fuse in, I ordered one of your mini-mortars....

Amazing how the power of suggestion works. :-)

post office misplaced it... took them an hour to find it...

Anyway, it looks awesome. I'll post pictures when I get around to making a base for it.
