A week or so back I scored a complete action from a 1908 Egyptian contract Martini Enfield 303.
It's in fine condition and I'll be building a sporter on it in .303 Improved, sort of similar to Ackley cartridges.
But I have been tossing up on what to use for sights.
I do want a scope because the Improved case almost puts it up with a .30-06 but to retain the true character & classic appearance of the Martini I decided I had to fit some sort of express sights.
When looking at the prices I was a little dismayed, especially since the scope and mount will cost enough themselves.
The I stumbled across this baby at Numrichs site:
http://www.e-gunparts.com/DisplayAd.asp?chrProductSKU=956630&chrSuperSKU=&MC=YJIt looks perfect for the job, should go easily on a quarter rib if I choose to have one fitted, and is quite inexpensive.
O.k., it's dirt cheap!
Plus it could well fit a bbl for a rook rifle in 32-20 I have that has no sights.
I love windage and elevation adjustments!
Has anyone used this or any other Marbles products?
Are they any good?
This one certainly looks like a winner.
