The new Russian Izhmash Saiga's are finally here again with a new importer. I think these are the hottest thing to hit our shores since the very first chinese norinco sks did in the late 80's. Its the hottest buy on the planet right now. The Saiga Sporters come with synthetic stocks and in different barrel lengths and calibers too. You may want to check them out at your local gun shop or gun show. The Saiga sporter in 308win and .223rem are awesome too. The Russians focused on making them more accurate than their AK brothers are too. You actually are purchasing a BRAND NEW HIGH QUALITY Russian Izhmash AK47 in a sporter wrapper. It has the chrome lined barrel and chamber too. You have to check these out but i have to warn you once you try one your going to want more in different calibers too. The 308win and 223rem saiga's with 16" barrels make a nice pair to have. If your looking for a few good quality rifles to plink/hammer/beat on and then take it hunting the russian saiga is the one that can do it all without the worry of it wearing out. Again its not someone's kit bashed built gun by butchers(century meat cutters) this is a brand new russian izhmash saiga sporter and it has the dependability, reliability and quality of an AK47 and the accuracy that can hang in there with anything in its class too and its unmatched in its affordable price range too. Its the 308win/nato semi-auto rifle you been looking for and always wanted but you couldn't afford it and now you can. ENJOY.......
They manufacture Saiga Sporters, Saiga model 100 hunting rifles(30-06) and shotguns all using the famous battle proven AK design plus there offering bolt action rifles too. These are going to rock our modern gun market too with these quality russian rifles all of them have chrome lined bores too.
From the guys who own both 308 saiga's with the 16" barrel and 22" barrels they say there is no difference in accuracy at 100yds there exactly the same. After hearing about the awesome accuracy of the 308 saiga in 16" with no scope up to 500yds it makes me wonder how far can the 22" barrel shoot? I think we have a winner here finally a quality rifle at an affordable price.
Go to;
www.raacfirearms.com and check them out!!! There is a purdy wood stocked saiga in 308 too if your a hunter who perfers real wood i like it and the model 100 in 30-06 too.
Go to;
www.saigacentral.com to get an idea on the prices
BTW; After a day of hunting in the monsoon rain that always seems to follow me sometimes its the ease of the saiga's disassembly to clean and dry it too thats a plus too i can take it apart in 7seconds(completely)
The Russians found out that the saiga's in .223rem and 308win are a tad more accurate than the saiga's in the russian calibers of 7,62x39 & 5,45x39. They say that while all the calibers are manufactured exactly the same they think its the design of the straighter american cases that makes them more accurate over the russian calibers. i wouldn't let it make me not buy a saiga in 7,62x39 or 5,45x39 for plinking/shooting but if i'm looking for a varmit or big game rifle having a tad better accuracy would be a plus.
Also lubing the saiga up with moly will make sure the receiver/bolt carrier/parts makes sure they will last as long as the chromed lined barrel does too. This quality russian gun will out last our lifetime for sure even if you hammer it.
The 4 of us have hammered a few Saiga rifles now in both .223rem and 308win. and they take a beating without a flaw yet they rock!!!!
