BULLETS WENT UP...
« on: March 13, 2006, 05:33:11 AM »
Well I was at Cabelas last week and bought some of my favorite Hornady XTP 300 grains For the normal price of $7.99 a box and this week I was at Cabelas AGAIN and (I just can't walk by my favorite bullets and not pick up more) picked up 3 boxes of the XTP's . But when I checked out they were $9.99 a box WOW It looks like the high fuel costs have cought up with another of my hobbies

Anybody else seeing the increases yet??

Tell me about it. What isn't going up nowadays? Seems like like everything except my salary is just skyrocketing here lately. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to pay my Gas&Electric after this  70% increase hits me in July. Something has to give, I smell a cost of living raise. But then again the raise has to be made up for somehow as well. The'll raise my insurance or something to make up for the raise probably. I can't figure it out. ONE DAY AT A TIME.

I buy all my M/L bullets in bulk from Precision Rifle and get them for about half price. Sure you have a big invested cost, but you won't have to buy bullets for a long long time.  :D  :-D

What kind of volume / quantity do you have to buy to buy direct from them?

There is not a specific amount. You can order one pack if you want, but you still will have to pay the shipping. I have been getting my bullets and supplies from them for 2 years now. Cecil Epp is a great source of information also. He has taken time to talk to be about the Encore in depth.

Redhawk, I see your a proponent of .25 ACP priming. Is there a tool made to load these onto the nipple?

S.B., I have not seen a tool for loading the 25 ACP cases in the breech plugs. I have never had a problem with just my fingers.
