G2 Owners ?
« on: March 13, 2006, 08:55:19 AM »
Hello,  Every once and a while the hammer on my G2 doesn't want to go back to full cock.  Sometimes if I fiddle with it it cocks,  But sometimes I have to open and close the action for it to work.  Has anyone had this problem before.  Maybe a quick fix before sending it back to T/C.

sounds like the locking bolts on he barrel are not going ito frame enought to release the hammer. You might try polishing the top of the bolts and see if that helps. You can remove the small pin holdin the bolts and remove them. They are spring loaded and spring will need to be compressed when reinstalling. I have also had the hole the bolts go in real rough and had to polish in side of  hole.

My G2 hammer won't come close to cocking on the used .30 Herrett barrel I just got, so TC asked me to send it to them.

A pair of newer style locking bolts would solve that problem.
