I have a 1895GS .45/70 on order for the price equivalent of $1,100……
But then I live in “Rip Off” Britain! Info that is not a lot of use to you I know, but some of you guys might like to know the sort of prices we have to pay over here. :(

Anyhow, I’m looking forward to getting this rifle in a few weeks time.
 :)

What do you attribute the high price of this gun to?   That's way over what the gun can be bought for in the States.

What does a pound of ground Coffee cost? (Folgers)

What does a gallon of milk go for?

Is the cost of living in England double what it is in the States?

Walmart has an 1895G listed for $429.  This is blued with 18" barrel.  I don't see a price for the stainless guide gun.  Walmart also has the 1895XTR listed at $570.  Stainless/laminate and 24" barrel.  I would expect the XTR to be the high end so the price on a stainless guide gun would be lower than that but I'm guessing.  Hope this helps......
