What's it worth?
« on: March 24, 2003, 05:05:27 PM »
A guy at work is interested in my E.A.BrownCo. Encore.  Match grade barrel, tight chamber, trigger job, groups less than MOA, etc.  Scope included is a Sightron Target 6-24x42AO plex.  Bought both 3yrs ago, paid $610 for the rifle and about $340 for the scope.  Scope is absolutely like new and rifle has normal wear but no rust or damage.  Approximately 400 rounds fired, 223rem.  I've never dealt any with used guns before so I have no idea what a fair price is.  Not looking to get rich but not looking to get reamed either.  Many thanks, -John. :?:

The formula used when selling guns is two thirds of the price of what the set cost new. That is what most gun stores give the seller.
