i have a t/c contender in .35 rem super 14 barrel.
here is my plan;
i am having a muzzle tamer made for it. this will serve two functions.
first off, i want to use it as a short carbine, the law says...the barrel has to be 16 inches for a legal rifle. the (brake) will be made to extend the barrel to 16.5 inches. this will be a slip over barrel confiq. with a super tight fit, but yet removeable when i want to convert it back to a pistol.
kind of like the ones you see for the 10/22 carbines.
i just dont know if this would be a legal set up for the stupid batf laws.
any ideas on this would be appreciated.
using the contender stock set up would make this weapon more versatile, allowing me to blow woodchucks up, and still use it as my deer weapon as a pistol set up.
if this all works out, i wont have to buy another (longer .35 rem barrel)
for longer range varmits.
i reload for this baby, and have some super accurate loads out to 150 yds, using the carbine stock.
