When confronted, he sheepishly admitted it, but was reluctant to resign. In his mind, since he had been convicted, received a large fine, and extended probation, which he had already served, his obligation to society was completed.
I gave him the option of resigning from the organization quietly, or having his case reviewed by the board, and voted on by the members. He wasn't pleased, but thought it best to walk away.
Again, Thanks! It is amazing how his ace popped up so unexpectedly. Someone must have been looking out for the children he would have been in contact with.
I plan to have a complete LEO background investigation done on all of our volunteers to prevent something like this in the future.
