Forgive me for cutting a pasting but its late and I need to sleep
After we got the latest snow I didnt hold out much hope for the traps today. I headed out on the snowmobile today under the guise of checking the trails for my customers that were coming in today.
The trails were in good shape the groomers has packed the trails down and I was able to make it in to my otter set. The trap was out of alignment a bot so I adjusted it.
Next step was my origional set at the spot of the sign that got me to order traps in the first place.
I steped down and broke the ice and above the trap was still open water but just past it was ice with bubles under it. Also my dive stick was missing.
Honestly it took me a minute to locate the trap but once I realized it was attached to the animal under the water it was easier to peice it together
I dont know what the wieght of this one is but it seems to wiegh as much as my son. Anyone care to take a guess at size based on the pictures???
Caught it in a 330 in the open water or semi open water at the slide I posted the other day.
Tomorrow will be fun I get to learn to put up the fur..
