Samco Global Arms

Anybody have any buying experience with the people at Samco Global arms Inc. out of Flordia?

I ask because I put in a small order about 10 days ago, which they ran the charge thru on my CC (I checked via internet) and since I havn't recieved the order yet, I called them.

I was told the order will be sent out "today" and they will put a "rush" on it. Well, I must sound young over the phone, but I wasn't born last night.

I don't believe a merchant is suppose to charge a customers Visa or MC until the product is actually shipped.

Anyway, does anyone else have this kind of experience with this company?

Dave

I have only ordered one gun from SAMCO. It arrived very quickly, but it was not in the condition that they advertised.

I have ordered from Samco Global Arms many times in the past 4+ years and i have found them to right up there with the rest of the top honest dealers. I got many swedish mausers from them and a few 8mm mausers and barreled receivers too.  I have been very happy with what they have sent me so far.  All my mausers from them have been all matching numbers with good bores and good wood too.

One swedish mauser came with no rear site but they fixed that problem right away so they will make good on mistakes too lets face it were only human and we do make mistakes at times too.

I have dealt with AIM Surplus, Century Arms and SOG (southern ohio gun) and i have been very happy so far. :-D

If you remember a few years back the cuts of meat were changed they were lowered and it was approved.  I think was we get closer to the bottom of the barrel on these surplus military guns the conditions are lowered sometimes too but may are in just borderline VG/G/F conditions and years ago they could of been called a lower condition too its a gray area. The supply of the better ones are just about gone.

If your not happy you can always send it back.

D Man,

I didn't order a gun, I ordered accessories for my gun. The order was small but I do pay attention to details. I look at the small stuff and figure if they can't get it right, what do they do with the big stuff.

They charged my Visa 10 days ago. So, they got the cash. But they havn't shipped the product yet. So...hmmmmm....That tells me something. And that something isn't on the up side.

Dave.

I have only had one minor problem with them.
I am finding that everyone is a bit slow in the shipping department now ?

These little family dealers are a little slower they don't have too many hired hands.

Well, I must be getting impatient. I received my order today and I got exactely what I ordered and in the condition that I expected.

So, all is well that ends well. I attached the accesories to the Swede and they look great.

Another happy customer. :D

Slow family dealers, huh?
The store I order from in Sydney doesn't advertise shipping at all.
And yet they almost always have the stock and I usually have the gear within 3 days and the stuff has to travel a little way across the state.
In my experience the guys who bank on their mail order service aren't the ones who are so good at it.
But hey, I'm living in Australia and I only ever order brass, projectiles, dies and similar stuff not complete firearms.

Sometimes slow isn't the word for it.  I think before it gets to me it goes around the world in the other longer direction passed mexico, then the land down under(Aussies) then over China, Russia and Europe then to the US to me. Lets face it if it takes more than 10days to two weeks what other way could it have gone? kidding

But i read one dealer posted he is swarmed with so much business he is backed up for days so bare with him(AIM Surplus).

10 days.....that's nothing.
It took 8 weeks for 3 magazines(reading material, not gun parts) to get to me from Kevin.303 in Canada.
OK, it's on the other side of the pond and but Kev and I are of the strong opinion that Canada Post slung it round the neck of a passing moose and hoped for the best! :(
