What Should I Know About The Rem 700 ML?
« on: March 18, 2006, 07:54:03 PM »
Looking at a 700 ML Blu/Syn in 50 Cal. w/209 ignition. I love that big hole in the muzzle. Having no experience in muzzleloaders, but wanting to extend my deer hunting seasons on the Northern Bruce Peninsula, Ontario, Canada (and now maybe even on Sundays if the season(s) is/are expanded to accommodate one or both on each end of the week), I was hoping for opinions on this as a first ML. Modern and familiar are what I like about it. I also like all the "easy" ways to load them now(sabots, jacketed bullets, powder pellets, etc). Not looking for nostalgia, but a good experience.

Thanx in advance

600RemGuy,

I hunted with a 700ML for about 3 years before I switched to an Encore.  I loved my 700.  It was VERY accurate, handled well, and never caused me any problems.  I shot 100 grains of Pyrodex pellet behind a 250 grain Barnes expander with great success.  I'd highly recommend the 700 for you, it would make a great shooter for you!  Good luck!!
