44. mag. 185 gr.

I have a 10 inch 44 mag barrel any info on using 185 gr hollow points on Deer.
 This hand gun hunting is new to me.Money is tight around here so I can't invest a lot on stuff that does'nt work.
I just got a good buy on some 185 jacketed hollow points. please help

Yes they will work, just don't try to break the shoulder or expect to shoot the south end of a deer and get good penetration.  Broadside lung shots would be your best.  I've only killed two deer with my old 44 Contender.  One was with a 180 Sierra JHP and the other a 200 gr Nosler JHP, both one shot kills.

By the way, who makes a 185 gr bullet?
