Info on 24" 336 in 35rem

Hey folks,

I searched around and really didn't find anything good. I came across a 24" barreled marlin 336? chambered in 35 rem. Now this is an older gun pre-crossbolt  blue in average shape. It's priced a little higher, than normal but reasonable. I've had a 30-30 in the same config. I was wondering if it's rare or just an oddball. should I buy or not?

any opinions? I have a 336rc in 35.

thanks,
bob

It is a 336A. They are a little harder to find than the regular carbines. I'd snag it.

thanks

I'll look at it again. I believe the reason it's a little higher in price is it has a 4x12x50 scope on it ???????????

Well the first thing you should do if you buy it is rip that huge scope off of it. If you have to use a big scope for load testing, that's fine, but I would do it when no one else was at the range. I'd hate for anyone to see me ugly up the nice lines of a good lever gun with a big old ugly scope like that.  :)

Jason,  no doubt!  I'm hoping I can use that as bartering chip and get some $$ knocked off.

I won't us more than a 4x except on my 356marlin it has a 2x7
