If those are the first rounds you've shot, it will take some break in before the barrel settles down. After flitzing the bore on my Ultra, it took 60-80 rounds before I saw groups less than an inch. Some take 200+ rounds before the bore is broke in well. Have you polished the bore per the link in the FAQ? How's the crown on the muzzle look? Not everyone's .223 likes the WWB ammo, there have been those that don't. Another one to try if you don't get good results after a while is the Ultramax reman 40gr Nosler BT, it shoots real good in mine, but costs more, too.

Some basics to remember...

Make sure you follow thru with a full pull to the rear on the trigger, the transfer bar needs to stay up for consistent pin strikes.

Place the front rest just ahead of the trigger guard, most Handis don't like to be supported under the mid forend.

Quick, the 25 yard group was shots 10-15 and the 100 yard group was shots 31-35.  I haven't done anything to it other than the first cleaning. I did clean the barrel aftereach shot for the first 5 shots and then I cleaned it when I got home.  I figure it'll get better as I break it in but right out of the box it seemed pretty good to me.

BTW shots 1-5 were sight in shots 6- 10 was scope adjustment
then shots 16 -20 were sight in at 100. shots  21- 25 scope adjustment 26- 30 was a warm barrel group ( about the same as the one posted ) 31 -35 ( see pic) and then I finished to box off shooting off hand the group opened some but wasn't bad. by that time the wind picked up and it snowed briefly.

next time I shoot I'll try the federal ammo I mentioned earlier ( after 200 rounds ) if needs more work I'll start tinkering .....

I've read the faqs on accurizing but I usully shoot first and then see what needs to be done. Thanks

It's a Tasco of some sort. I had it laying around and figured might as well see  how it works  ( or if it wokrs )  What I do know it's a 3-9 x 40 and one of the more inexpensive models ( the reason it was layihng around in the firstplace).
