7.62 x 54R ammo
« on: March 21, 2006, 11:09:40 AM »
Anybody familiar with Igman ammunition. Is this stuff any good? AIM has it for $6.95 a box (seems cheap to me) in brass case, boxer primed, with 150 grain JSP bullets. I would like to reload it, and was wondering if the brass is decent. Thanks.

A bit on the thin side, but not bad.

Thanks for the info.  I guess I'll try some.  Can't beat the price.

It shoots a lot cleaner than the Wolf brand.
I believe that it is the same stuff that Hansen
cartridge company used to sell in the 80's
I have some of both with the cirilic letters NNY
on the Headstamp. It seems to be pretty decent stuff.

Yup its all manufactured by Prvi-Partizan they make it for; Wolf Gold,  Igman, Hansen and FNM too there maybe more too its all made in the former Yugoslavia.  The NNY head stamp is the give away. :D
I reloaded some FNM 7,5mm french cases a while back and its good brass one of the best i have ever reloaded so far.

I keep on finding hansen ammo too some came with a '95 chilean purchase and the other day i got some for $5 a box.(7mm & 8mm mauser) I figure for that price we can't go wrong.

Last year at one of our Mauser Matches one fellow who did not reload either, brought igman 8mm and it shot as well as anything else there as far as I could see....
