.243 and 85 grain bullets

After having no luck with 100 grain, I got some 85 grain sierria bullets. I still have 1/2 pound of IMR 4350 that I would like to use up. any body have any luck with this combo??

That is all my 243 has ate! but I push them with IMR 4320,
 But some one uses 4350 on the forum here. Good luck!

80 gr Winchester ammo

About ten years ago a local K-Mart was getting out of the gun/ammo business they put all their ammo on sale. I bought 6 pkgs. of 243 Wingester Varmint loads for $2.50 ea. - I recently sighted in a new Encore
bbl in 243 trying different loads to see what the gun liked, of course it liked the 80 gr loads no longer avail from Winchester so i guess I will have to start reloading.  FYI it was Winchester CXP1 80 gr. foft point. Out of 6 different brands these grouped best and most consistant at about
.5 - .625" @ 100 yds.

The fed 85gr gameking was the most accurate I could find for my gun 1.5'' 3 shot. It wouldn't shoot any 100gr worth a darn.

Try the 100 grain Hornady Round Nose in the .243..very accurate using Varget powder........also the 95 gr CTBT...

I know absolutely nothing about reloading, so I don't know how they compare, but I have had excellent luck out of the cheap 100 grain federal softpoints.  Cheapest thing I could find to try, and the best shooting for my gun.  Finally, I got lucky.  Usually everything I have wants the expensive stuff.
