I don't think you are, sounds like a hell of a deal to me. (depending on the condition of course). It's nice to see winchesters selling for under a $1000. I just put some money down on a winchester 94 timber carbine in the 444 marlin, the dealer wanted 330 for it. I would say its 99% clean with just the typical gun rack marks. I looked the same rifle up on a few web sites and they are selling for 700-900 used and over a 1000 NIB. It makes my stomach turn but what can ya do.
