Replacing the Forearm Stock on a 760
« on: March 24, 2006, 11:31:21 AM »
I am replacing the cracked forearm stock on my 760.  One set of directions I have say to remove the forearm retaining screw, then remove the retaining cap, then the forearm stock slides forward, and you can replace it.  Well, I removed the retaining screw, but the cap does not come off. It looks like the cap is held in place by a pin. Before I go monkeying around and screw something up, I was hoping someone in here has replaced the forearm stock on their 760 before, and would be kind enough to offer some direction(s) or helpful hint(s).  I just want to do this right the first time with no surprises or damage to any of the parts. Thanks for any help offered.
