Opinion on recent purchase please.

Ionly have 2 single actions, both Rugers, both in .45 Colt.
I love 'em. One is a Blackhawk Bisley 7.5" t'uther a Vaquero 5.5", both blue.
I fella came by today and offered his older Ruger Blackhawk .44 magnum, with 7.5" tube, blue of course, in about 95% or better condition.
This one is a 3 screw, never modified, original grips without mark one on them.
He's fired maybe 200 factory loads in the life of the gun so she's thight and looks almost new.
He wanted $325.00 for it and I about broke my arm getting the check book.
I'm guessing that was a fair price and I like the older Rugers best of all.
I'm told these are getting semi collectable.
Opinions please?

I'm not an expert in prices of older Rugers, but $325 for the gun you describes sounds like a good deal.  I would have bought it.

I think you did just fine.  I am not an old model price expert either.  But I have a couple of old models and a flat top. I would have bought it no question. If you look in some of the gun sale papers (gun List ect.) you will find them for all sorts of prices (350.00 -750.00).  As long as your happy with the price then it was a good deal.
