dragoon whats it worth???

hi guys new guy here so bare with me i recently purchased a 8&3/8 44 mag it has april 16 1974 on left side of frame also has 1776 1976  we the people on bottom of grip frame was just wandering if all are printed like this or if i found something odd

They run $250-ish on the auction sites plus shipping.  I gave $270 for mine at a local shop.  Like it better than the Rugers for full house loads.

Lowest price I ever saw was at a gun show for $250 with a SEVERELY eroded throat in 45 Colt.  Had to walk away from that one.

As to the bottom of the grip frame, they all have printing.  Don't remember what mine has or if it adds anything.  These don't appear to be collector pieces.

:cb2: HOWDY...I HAVE ONE...STAINLESS , 44MAGNUM ,7 1/2 INCH BARRELL . LOVE IT..HEAVY MEDAL .  IT FITS STANDARD LEATHER , BUT GRIPS ???
I HAVE NOT SEEN MANY IN GUN SHOWS..HOWEVER FINISH(SS/BLUE) CALIBRE , BARRELL , AND CONDITION WOULD BE BIG VARABLES . I DONOT THINK $300.00 WOULD BE TOO BAD FOR A  NICE ONE  LIKE I WOULD WANT.

These guns, in the later runs, were made in Alexandria, Virginia. "Sic Semper Tyrannis" is the Virginia state motto found on the state flag. The flag shows a victor standing over a fallen tyrant; the motto translates to "Thus ever to tyrants".

That's about the only Latin I know!

Hapy shooting, Regan
