I got a new Sig GSR Evolution yesterday, the XO model - the lowest price one they have. The fit and finish of the gun are great but the bore came with a good coat of rust on lands. I was hoping it was just some fouling that came from being test fired at the factory (I guess it's too much to hope that a factory would actually clean a gun before they ship it) but I scrubbed for a while and though I got the rust out, the bore just doesn't look that good. My P220 has a glass smooth bore even after putting a couple thousand rounds through it, I'm going to shoot the GSR this afternoon and hope it goes well. I only used Hoppe's #9 yesterday, anyone know a better way to get the bore clean? Hope I won't be disappointed with this one, it's a good looking gun.
