« on: March 30, 2006, 12:44:50 PM »
:-D Well it's gun show time again and I'm getting bored with my 25 guns in the safe so I'm thinking of getting the Spring Field XD in 357 sig. Question :?:  Does anyone have any knowledge or used the Spring Field XD, what are your opions???? Next, can anyone tell me the pro and cons of a 357 sig. :idea3:  I heard that it is a great round but rags the gun out badly   I am looking for something new and this gun or even the Taurus 24/7 is my options  If you guys can give me some input I'd love to hear it :P

Gotta go :bye:

I have no experience with the 357 Sig.  I do however own a XD-45 and love it.  I have about 500 rounds down the pipe and had zero problems.  It has fed eveything I put in it and was very accurate right out of the box.  I would recomend it to anyone and give it  :agree:  :agree:  :agree:

I have a .357 Sig in a SIG 239. I like it, well I like SIGS.
I like the round also. It is a good shooter and while it may be a souped up 9MM it is more than a 9MM can be.
I like the 239 because it is a good carrying weapon and I like the .357 becaus it carries more power and shoots flatter.

:D I have to agree with williamlayton, it is much more than a "souped up 9mm."  I also have a Sig 239 with the .357 barrel, since I bought the barrel the forty has not been back in the gun.  The .357 Sig is a very effective cartridge, and is the choice of Texas Department of Public Safety as well as many other LEOs through out the country.

I highly recommend the .357........... :)    :-D

I have a SigPro SP2340 in .357 SIG  that I bought when I first heard about them in 2000.  I absolutely love that round, it is also the most accurate handgun I own, and, yes, it is much, much more than a souped up 9mm Para.  I guess you could also say that a .357 Mag is also just a souped up 9mm, or a .30-378 Weatherby is just a souped up '06.  Yeah, I guess you COULD say that.

My buddy has the Springfield XD 40SW, which I had the pleasure to put about 100 rounds through.  It's a great handling gun.  Reminds me of my  SW sigma, but I like the trigger on the XD a lot better.
