For those of you who are not aware, Dave's 460 Supermag pictured above (not the same as 460 S&W) is a prototype gun.  Dave owns the only one that I know is still in existence, although I have heard there are a couple more that were made.  Thanks for sharing the pics Dave.  That is some really nice hardware.  If we could talk DW into making a 460 S&W and/or a 500 S&W with interchageable barrels, THAT would be the ultimate revolver.

Here is a little more of the information that I have received on the 460 Supermag.

It is the only one made.
The 460 Supermag is a 45 win mag case stretched to 1.610 (supermag length). It can produce velocites that duplicate the new 460 S&W. The 460 S&W was produced to compete with the Dan Wesson but the 460 SM never made it into production because Dan Wesson did not have the money to fully put it into production. Boy they made a big mistake there.

During testing at the factory they shot experimental 200gr bullets at 2400 ft/sec with pressure at around 50,200 PSI. and they felt the round should operate at 50,000 with the proof loads at 70,000PSI.

And since I now have a camera, here is a picture of my 32-20 Dan Wesson made at Monson. I bought this one from IHMSA back in the day when they had them made for field pistol class.

The 32-20, now that is a relatively rare DW I would say.  Looks like a great gun.

This is a new, unfired Pistol Pak that belonged to my Dad. Myself & my brothers have divided the guns that my Dad used. We may sell this gun.    If we decide to sell & establish a value, I will put it in the classifieds within the next couple of days.

Very nice, Looks brand new. I would rate it at 99% and it should sell for $750.00 to $850.00, The last pistol packs sold new for $1699.00. I would keep it in the family for another generation.

Sweet, really like the pointman. I have a couple of Dan Wesson revolvers and absolutely love them, but have never fired a semi auto. How do they compare to others. I have a Springer and know it's an entry level 45but still very nice to shoot. I have also.fired a friends Kimber and all I can say us wow. Just curious if it compares to the Kimber.

Maybe just the right mix of power and size.

OK - Who can tell me how to enlarge the photo I posted below? Ya can't see any detail because it's too small.
And, I can't figure out how to do it.

You need to host the picture somewhere else like on myhostedpics.com. Very nice looking gun is it a chrome finish or is it polished stainless?

44 Magnum with factory trigger job. Hogue grip.  Used to be blue until the hardchrome.  Triple K holster and speed loader pouch.

22 Long Rifle with Hogue grip.

Forgot to mention:  See the "black" on top of the rock...that was from the lightening strike about 7 years back.  I was cleaning an AR15 on the back porch about 25 feet away and FLASH..KABOOM..ears rang for about two days...

GetGunz,

That is the nicest DW .44Mag I've ever seen.  What model and designation is it?  Is it a .445 Supermag or just .44 Mag?  I would love to get a DW revo in .44 but I just want .44 Mag, not a Supermag (I know it fires both but call me picky).

Thanks!

Thanks for compliment Nick.  The model is a 44VH (44 Magnum) which stand for vent heavy on the barrel shroud.  That has the vent rib on the top and the full underlug on the bottom.  The pistol was originally blue.  When the bluing began to wear from use I sent it to Ron Mahovsky at Metalife for hardchrome.
