Also in this discussion the difference between the 5903 vs 5906 vs 6906. Not sure they look alike, what is the difference??? Thanks guys for your help, I know there has to be a Smith and Wesson expert out there somewhere

The 5903 & 5906 are full-size while the 6906 is a compact.

Yup...Sir Knight is correct. The 6906/6904 are the compact brethren of the 5900 series. The 6906 is the stainless steel version while the 6904 is the blued version. Both come with an alloy frame. Here's a small pic of the 6906:

Thank you all for your feed back. I have a 5903 and love it more than my Glock. I am thinking of getting another one I like it so much, but I want to maybe get the 6906. What is the differnce between these to guns besides there is no hammer on the 6906. Your feed back is greatly needed. Thank you

Basically the 5903 has a 4 in. barrel while the 6906 has a 3.5 in. barrel I have a 6906 and like it alot for a CCW weapon
