Trigger slap on AK-47 rifles?
« on: April 01, 2006, 10:19:10 AM »
I have owned a Romanian AK and a Russian Saiga for several years and have not had a problem with trigger slap until last week.  My Romanian rifle was slapping my trigger finger.  I sold off my Saiga last year, but it did not have a problem with trigger slap that I recall.  I shoot with a guy who was in Desert Storm as a Marine and he fired several AK's there and had asked me if my AK was doing the slap, last year.

Is it common for this design to have trigger slap?

Thanks.

trigger slap is common in AK's that are using crappy made US parts..
your Rommy most likely came from Centuary Arms and they are noted
for using a super cheap US made trigger as a compliant part..

The best AK trigger on the market is Red Star Arms adjustable trigger
they are not cheap but very smooth and can be tuned for your style of shooting..
