HereÂ’s one for you WWII Japanese Ariska collectors:









Arisaka Type 99  - 7.7 x 58 JAP - Nagoya Arsenal - Saipan bring back - Mum is complete - has monopod - no chips/splits/cracks - all serial numbers match - stock is properly bumped and dinged up - has dust cover - has anti-aircraft sight - barrel and bolt/over all condition of metal is  excellent - no rust.

Can you tell me the series?

Anything else of interest?

WhatÂ’s a fair market value on this rifle?

I would check out the guns for sale sites on the net for a price. If i were you i would auction it starting at $125 and put a reserve price of $250/$275 and go from there, but since thats a purdy one i may even go $300 on the "buy it now" price too. These have gone much higher than the $50 just a few years ago latey the ones i'm seeing are in bad shape and your looks in very good condition so its worth more. Most of the ones i see don't have the MUM (*) too.

I don't remember if it was cruffler.com or surplusrifles.com but I believe one of them had a chart of Arisaka codes and series. I used it a few months ago to get information on mine, but I lost my bookmarks to a hard drive crash soon after. I did a google search to find the information in the first place. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
