A buddy of mine is looking to buy a bow. He is right handed but left eye dominant. Does he need a right or left handed bow?

Just my opinion, FWIW.........

He should either learn to shoot with his left eye closed, using a peep sight, or get a left handed bow. He has to decide which will be easier for himself to do.   :D

exactly my situation... right handed, left eye dominate... I shoot everything but a pistol left handed (and I don't shoot pistols often or perhaps I would adopt better form).

I've shot right both left and right handed bows, and I prefer the lefts... it's more natural and I believe that it gives you an advantage because your strong arm is forward.

I am rt. handed/rt. eye dominate but grew up shooting a bow leftie. If I had to do it over again I would learn to shoot righty mainly because right handed bows are plentiful and left handed ones are harder to come by and harder to sell.

I've shot leagues with guys who had that problem. Those who changed said it was difficult at first to change the way they shoot to follow thier dominant eye, but within a few months all were glad they did. All improved their scores.

I'm left handed, right eye dominant, and I shoot righty.  Your hands will get used to shooting right handed, I can't even hold a rifle left handed now.
