460 scope

Do a search on scope and 460.  There was a thread discussing various options.

I use a Burris 2x7 with PosiLock on a Wiegand steel base with 4 magnum rings.

I have found that a Bushnell trophy will handle the recoil just fine, I have two 460's with them on it. If you did not get a PC model that comes with a scope mount, the Warne, Leupold and B-Square mounts work great. I also have a 460 and 500 Mag with a Ultra-dot Match-dot sight.  :D

I agree with all4abuck on his choice of base and rings...Jack Weigand is one of the best out there...

I also agree with RH1...The Bushnell Trophy is tough to beat for price and toughness.

I hate to throw a wrench in this but I just had to send back a brand new bushnell trophy 2-6 on my 44 mag.  The sight adjustment was not responding after firing about 40 rounds.  Everybody else seems to like them but I guess I just was unlucky.  I'm going back to the 4X Leupold.

Sorry to here that. Mine are still holding tough on my 460 Mags.  Is Bushnell going to replace or fix the scope?

I'm not sure yet. I just sent it on Thursday.  I'm sure they will do something. They have a pretty good reputation.

The Leupold 2X on my FA 454 Casull has been to the shop three times.  The good news is that they fix it for free and the turnaround time is a week to ten days (from N. CA).  That scope is clamped down with a three ring TSOB setup that is rock solid.

I have a Burris 2X Posilock scope in a Wegand mount and three ring setup on my 454 Redhawk. I noticed the other day that when I have the Posilock losened I can not shoot more than two or three times before the zero drifts. with the Posilock tight it is rock solid. I shoot it 50 to 75 times per session.
